First of all I should tell you that this does work. I have a 5 lb pomeranian whose high pitched bark does not set off any external sound device I have bought. He would bark, get sprayed, sneeze and continue. I am pretty sure it went off when he shook his head too, but could not really confirm this. You go through batteries like water and will need to make sure that no hair is in the way (really I would need to shave him). I looked into returning it but this type of product cannot be returned due to the spray...so make sure you are OK with parting with your money for better or worse.

Possibly the greatest invention ever! We have this little insane Papillion who became very yappy, barking at everything. Over the weekend we purchased the PetSafe Little Dog Spray Bark Collar. After three sessions of wearing the collar, she's completely stopped the incessant barking even when she's not wearing the thing. This morning she saw the dog across the street headed out for its morning walk. Normally this would send her into the stratosphere. This time, she quietly growled and let out three very quiet little barks along with some of the cute little Papillion noises she makes and that was it. She did not even have the collar on. My sanity is saved!

I bought this little dog spray for my chihuahua/shih tzu mix pup because he barks at everything! I was really concerned that the spray would hurt him but it doesn't. He barks, it spritzes a lemon burst around his snout and then he stops. He hasn't quit completely, but I don't leave it on for extended periods of time, either. I can tell it is working because when he is not wearing it, and there are children playing close to the house, he will growl lowly instead, because he understands that if he barks he's going to get an unpleasing aroma shot at him. It is not recommended to leave the collar on for more than 8 hours and pet owners should take the time to understand and to train your dog when it is appropriate and inappropriate to bark. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a consistent barker, but not to a puppy! Puppies are like babies that cry, you shouldn't punish them for acting like they are supposed to.
All in all, a good training tool.

This collar is humane and it really works for my Spaniel mix dog. One puff of the spray and she stops barking. I can sometimes put the collar on and not turn it on and she doesn't bark. I originally tried one of the shock collar types on her and it was a traumatic experience for me and my dog.
The battery replacement is a rip off. I have found an excellent money saving tip. If you look for the replacement battery here on Amazon you will find a review by Pronoman. I followed his instructions and have saved myself $.

I had high hopes for this on my 11-lb. pomeranian. But no way. Not one spray. Cut his hair off under chin, tightened collar, even held collar tight while he barked. Absolutely NOTHING.
Even called the company for help, asked my vet and my groomer. Nothing helped.
And now it is unreturnable. They can ship it, but I can't return it - hazardous material they say. How could they ship it in the first place? And do I want to use hazardous material on my dog????
It's $67.00 well wasted.
