Doesn't work Jul 27, 2010 I was able to get enough spray in the container on the collar to get it to spray once. One-half the can is gone and I still can't get the spray to dispense into the collar. When I inquired about a refund they were agreeable (it was within the 15 day return period) but I still had to pay about $14.00 in shipping charges to get the item and return it.
Talk about air braking your dog Jul 20, 2010 This product will stop your pet in its tracks without using the nasty shock or having to shave you dogs neck.
I was amazed at how well this spry collar works.
Training your dog becomes more fun for the both of you.
Overal good product at a fair price.
I only have one suggestion for the manufacturer, that is, include a lanyard with the remote so the user can hang it around their neck for easy retrieval.
The remote is a bit cumbersome to hold all the time. Like everybody else I sat it on the table and the promptly forgot where I sat it.
Defective and more defective Jun 28, 2010 I bought this collar at the recommendation of our dog trainer. It worked for exactly 3 days before the spray mechanism stopped spraying. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue with the seller I opted for a paypal refund and purchased another one. The second one lasted all of 4 weeks and it also stopped spraying.
We weren't excessive sprayers, and even if we were the product should be designed to last somewhat longer than one refill.
I couldn't be less happy with this product, the manufacturer or the seller we dealt with.
Can't fill it without wasting a lot of the spray and making a mess Jun 16, 2010 I had found the collar on Ebay brand new for only $45. That is the good news.
I have refilled other citronella spray collars with no problem, but this one is a challenge and may be defective. This spray is very oily and gets all over the place as I attempt to fill. I can only manage to get a tiny bit into the actual collar. Most of the spray is on my hands and on the collar. I must have a defective collar or spray can.
Aside from filling/refilling issues, there is another issue of great inconvenience. The collar can be turned off when not in use, but the hand-held transmitter cannot.Te transmitter is bound to run it's charge down in "40-50 hours" or roughly two days. The collar will also last 45-50 hours but since you would turn it off when you are not training, it might hold a charge for a week or more. To charge the transmitter you need to plug it in for 12 hours. But, get this. The collar requires charging for only 4-5 hours and should "never" be plugged in for more than 12 hours. So if you happen to want to charge them both at the same time you have to come back in 4-5 hours to unplug the collar and then allow the transmitter to charge another 7-8 hours and you must time it right as "overcharging can shorten battery life".
I hope they will add an on/off button to the transmitter and fix the battery discrepancies so that this collar can be easier to use.

Fantastic Product ! Mar 24, 2010 Dear Amazon,
We are so gratefull for this Petsafe product ! We bought the Remote Spray Trainer from Pet Safe, I have a big Chihuahua, named; Pedro, but untill recently better known as `Bin Laden Jr ` .
Pedro used to behave as the meanest of the meanest, towards Men, most women, joggers ,and dogs of all kinds ,big or small Pedro loved to eat them all !We tried everything except electrocution ! Scholing , snacks for good behavior, we praised him so much on a good day, that by now they must have opened a `Dog Heaven ` in case Pedro leaves this earth. But guess what, after having installed the collar the next day after receiving it ,yes it takes 24 hours charging before using it the first time, Pedro was ready to go to the Park and get them !
Well we let him loose like always and there he went straight for the early morning kill.... I called ,my wife called...nothing he was going to get this massive Staffordshire Bull terrier just for breakfast... Well we pressed the remote spray button..... (by the way its range is 300 yards!)
Pedro stopped abrupt looked back at us,my wife who is a well read mind reader later told me that Pedro thought `It better be not one of you who did this to me`, well our beloved Pedro, just walked back to us. So we Praised him , gave him a little snack. He knows now we have used the spray three times now, mainly because he has learned the following lesson; act as if you are going to attack something innocent like a Greate Dane they will call you , you stop and walk back, that is snack No 1 .... Now we are training our selves to give treats sparingly, or finish with an obese, 28 pound Chihuahua. So the collar is now around my wife's neck when we go to the park , she carries the snacks I carry the remote....Oooh by the way I don't give her warnings !
This collar is really fabulous, it works perfectly ,the batteries are rechargeble, all included, it charges both at the same time , the remote and the collar ,We left the collar a bit long, because a friend of ours uses it now for her dog a Boxer( Yes you guessed it right his name is Tyson and he bites ears! ) she loves it too! she wants one of her own she says...The result of the collar is two dogs well behaved in the Park , with or without the collar around their neck within 3 weeks !!!!
Thanks Pet Safe , Thanks Amazon
