Concept is brilliant .. Implementation sucks Jul 29, 2010 Ok so you put a motion activated sprayer on top of a tall skinny can of compressed air (essentially). Then set it in a place where you don't want your cat to be. The cat approaches the area where it's not wanted, then the sprayer senses the motion and scares the cat with it's noisy spray. The scared cat runs away. What a great idea!
Problem is that this little, expensive doohickey goes off at the slightest movement of a big human, but doesn't care so much about a small cat. Nor can it seem to stay upright and focused on the area you want it to guard.
So, the cat, has the best time knocking the device over and going wherever the cat wants to go. All the while laughing at the stupid human that keeps setting the sprayer thing off and scaring the beegeezus out of everyone, except the cat.
Great Idea ... Poor implementation. Oh, and did I mention that it's expensive!
A total Rip-off! And be forewarned- Amazon WILL NOT let you return this item!!!! Jul 26, 2010 This item does not work AT ALL. I installed as recommended. Let the motion detection equilibrate as recommended and NOTHING. The cat can stand right in front of it and nothing happens (and yes, the unit was turned on and had fresh batteries!) I got *two* on the basis of all the other reviews which must be left by MultiVet stockholders or something. I'm out $50 with NO RETURN because they contain pressurized cans that are safe to ship to ME (and take my $$$ doing so) but not safe for me to return.

It works with normal canned air Jul 25, 2010 It has kept my cats from: eating plants, jumping on the counter, sitting on top of the aquarium, pounding on closed doors...It works, the batteries have lasted since I got it 6 months ago, and you don't really need the special canned air refill. You can remove the top from regular (and cheaper) canned air and it will work just fine, and for longer.
Sccccat! Jul 09, 2010 Sometimes the product works and sometimes not. When it works properly it really does the job. Keeps both the cats and the dogs away from the counters. Sometimes it will go off when noone is around which is annoying because it is on the expensive side and going off when not necessary wastes the product.
Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. Jun 26, 2010 Half the time (more or less), it does actually "see" the cat coming and emits its spray of air. The cat leaves the vicinity. The rest of the time, the cat can walk right past it with no consequences. Just now, he actually went up (approached from the front) and sniffed the can without setting it off. I need something more reliable to keep cat away from tempting wires hanging from PC.
