Works well, I bought another Aug 15, 2010
By Aerocat I bought this unit from Amazon almost a year ago for my high-energy, 1 year old yellow Lab. After 1 year it is still working and I bought another unit in case this one dies. The sensing mechanism works very well. She can do a slight whine and growl without activating the spray, which is fine. The collar is durable enough for occasional wear; it shouldn't be a 24/7 collar anyways. Only problem I had was a result of the company switching nozzle types/sizes on the aerosol refills. I had to remove the rubber o-ring on the refill port to get the latest refill cans to work without leaking everywhere.
Pros:
Works as advertised
Has lasted longer than I expected
Battery life better than expected
Cons:
A bit bulky
A definite buy if you have a barking dog; spray works fantastically for my Lab!

sanity for barking dog owners Sep 04, 2009

"lab lover"
Our rowdy lab puppy was not popular with the neighbors in our city lot until we found the barking collar. We tried others...no success. We paid a lot more in a pet store for our first. We are already on our second. She is rough on things but they do have a limited life. We still couldn't do without it.
False sprays Jul 27, 2011
By Veronica Does not always spray when my dog barks. On occasion it'll do a random spray when he and the surroundings are totally silent. I called the company and got a free replacement mailed within a week. The new one does the same.
Quick and Effective! Dec 30, 2010
By M. Pinkerton I bought this collar for our Weimaraner who would decided to go off on a barking rant sometimes during the day and at night while we were sleeping. It works very well. The dog would bark once, get sprayed and then shut up for as long as he remembered he had the collar on. Sometimes he'd forget the collar was on him and get another dose of the spray and then be quiet again. I started out with the odorless spray and it worked for a little bit but then he decided it wasn't enough of a deterrent at which point I switched to the citronella and it has remained effective for at least 6 months. Don't forget to switch the collar off when you take it off the dog and when you refill the collar, the refill can must be upside down to fill it with the liquid (otherwise you just get air blowing at the dog). I've had no problems with the collar at all.
I had previously tried an ultrasonic bark deterrent, but our dog just didn't care about it....or maybe he couldn't even hear it. But, it did not seem to have any effect, but this spray collar works very well.
