Bought this for my 7 year old crazy JRT who can't stop barking. Once she figured out what happened when she barked - silence! Whooo hooo!!! I'm pretty sure that I won't have to keep it filled after a while.

This is a great collar if your dog is easily distracted...my dog however is too "smart" for it I think - he got accustomed to the strange spray in his face and continues to bark... I have to refill the collar EVERY day. If I forget to, he goes right back to his unstoppable barking. He eases up a bit when the collar is full, but it has not stopped his annoying barking 100%. I'd say it's reduced it to 85%...which I guess is still an improvement, but like I said - he's unstoppable! We tried the shock-no-bark collar and that definitely did not deter him - at all. So overall I guess I would recommend this collar to people with younger, more impressionable dogs - our dog is over 8 years old and "stuck in his ways" I think. "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" comes to mind...

I purchased this, it broke after only a couple month, got a replacement, broke again after only a couple of months. After a lot of headache I got literally the same one from a local PetCo and of course it was about tripple the price but have now had it for a year and not broke. Also the batteries for these are pretty pricey and will all I've had they use up pretty quickly. I pay about $9 per battery and I leave it on my dog all day while I'm at work then turn it off while at home and replace the battery about once per month. The item actually works great, I love it and once it sprays the dog they don't want it to spray again so they don't bark hardly ever. Was a wonderful thing living in an apartment and now a house I can make sure I'm a kind neighbor.

This is a wonderful product for my two dogs. They bark once and get reminded that once is enough. They used to bark bark bark ..... My vet suggested a citronella spray collar rather than a shock collar. I could not be more pleased.

I bought this collar for my dog, because a friend had the same one and it worked like a charm. My dog, however, it wasn't that effective. She would basically just bark enough times to use all the citronella and then it didn't matter. So, I am back to the drawing board. It did work for my friend's dog, just not mine.
